Using this site

RankedAus (rankedaus.com) is a website with a dozen board games, puzzles and word games played in the browser. Using it means you accept the terms on this page; if you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

What we provide

The games are offered for personal entertainment. We wrote them ourselves and we host them ourselves. We try to keep them running smoothly, but we cannot promise they will be available at every moment or entirely without faults.

No accounts, nothing to spend

There is no registration, no subscription and no checkout anywhere on the site. Nothing can be charged to you, and we will never ask for card or banking details.

Played for entertainment, never for real money or prizes

Every game on RankedAus is free to play and exists purely for entertainment. No real money is involved anywhere: nothing is staked, no purchases are possible, no prizes are awarded, and no score, level or result can be exchanged for anything of value, here or elsewhere.

External websites

A link that leads off this site leads to somebody else’s terms and somebody else’s privacy policy, which govern from the moment the other page loads. What those sites publish, and whether they are up, is their affair rather than ours.

Changes to the games

Games may be added, altered or removed, difficulty levels adjusted, and the look or behaviour of any game changed at any time without notice. The four games marked as on their way may arrive later than planned or in a different form.

Intellectual property

The games, their artwork, the text and the layout of this site were created by us and belong to us. Mancala, Go and the other names describe traditional games that nobody owns; our versions of them are our own work and may not be copied, redistributed or reused commercially without written permission.

Acceptable use

Please do not interfere with the site, copy it in bulk, or run automated tools against it. Reading the pages and playing the games in the ordinary way is exactly what it is for.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided as it stands. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or of a site we link to. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Changes

As the site develops, these conditions may be reworded to suit. The text on this page at any given moment is the text that binds.
