Privacy Policy

How RankedAus handles information about visitors, and why there is so little of it to handle.

1. What this site is

RankedAus (rankedaus.com) is a small website with a handful of classic games that run in your browser. It has no accounts, no profiles and no login of any sort, which means you can use all of it without ever telling us who you are.

2. Information we collect

There is no form anywhere on rankedaus.com that asks for personal details, and we never request them. What the server does record, as servers almost universally do, is a basic technical entry for each request:

• Which IP address sent the request
• The browser and operating system reported by your browser
• The page asked for and the moment it was asked for
• The referring page, if your browser sends one

We use that log to keep the site running and to see which pages people visit. It is not used to profile anyone, and it is never sold or shared for advertising purposes.

3. Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies of its own. 2048 and Sudoku save your current grid in your browser’s local storage so you can pick up later; that information stays on your device, is never sent to us and can be cleared through your browser settings whenever you choose.

4. Links to other websites

The games run on this site itself. If a page links elsewhere, an email link for instance, the destination has its own privacy policy and its own cookies, and we have no control over or insight into either.

5. Email you send us

Should you email info@rankedaus.com, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to reply and for a reasonable time after that. Your address is never put on a mailing list.

6. Children

The games on offer are the kind you would find in a school library or a family lounge room: chess, sudoku, number puzzles. The site is not directed at young children, and because we collect no personal information, we do not knowingly hold any data about them.

7. Your rights

Under the law that applies to you, you may be able to find out what information we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Since no account data exists, a request like that would in practice concern server logs or an email conversation. Send it to info@rankedaus.com and you will hear back from us.

8. Security

Everything on this site travels over HTTPS and the software behind it is kept current. Nothing is ever completely secure, but with no personal data stored here, there is almost nothing worth reaching.

9. Changes to this policy

Whenever the site changes in a way that affects this page, the page is updated as well. Whatever text you see here is the version currently in force.
