Cookie Policy
Everything RankedAus places in your browser, or allows Meta to place there, laid out plainly: the purpose of each item and the switches you have for turning it off.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can recognise that browser on a later visit or carry a setting from one page to the next. Related technologies such as tracking pixels and local storage do similar jobs without necessarily writing a cookie file. Everything of that kind in use here is described below.
What this site stores itself
Not one cookie on this site is ours. What RankedAus does use is your browser’s local storage: the games keep an unfinished board, your chosen level and your best results there so you can carry on later, and the cookie notice writes a single flag there once you have dismissed it. None of that leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The Meta Pixel
This site loads the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms. The pixel may set or read two cookies: _fbp, which identifies a browser for advertising measurement and lasts three months, and _fbc, which holds the identifier of the Meta advertisement that brought you here and also lasts three months. Through them Meta learns which pages you open on RankedAus, which lets us see whether our advertising on Meta services is working. Meta handles that information under its own data policy, published at meta.com, and may process it outside Australia.
Your choices
Your browser settings let you block all third-party cookies, delete the cookies of a single site or clear everything; doing either for rankedaus.com withdraws the consent you gave through the notice. If you have a Meta account, its ad preferences let you limit how information from websites is used, and Meta provides an opt-out for people without an account in the same place. Blocking the pixel has no effect on the games.
Changes to this policy
Add a cookie, drop one, swap a technology: whenever that happens on the site, this page is rewritten in the same step. Whatever you are reading here now is the current position.
